Information accessed

After Google authorisation, the Hub reads calendar metadata and event information available to the connected account. This can include calendar names, event titles and descriptions, dates, times, locations, time zones, identifiers, event status and other details supplied in the event record.

Only calendar-list and event-read permissions are requested. The integration cannot modify the source calendars. Connection credentials are stored separately from diary content in the operator’s credential manager.

Use and storage

Calendar data is cached in the operator’s private Office system and used to display events, protect commitments, calculate travel and support scheduling decisions. Relevant calendar context may be supplied to the private AI assistant to provide those user-facing features.

Imported diary history, manual corrections and related work records can remain after an event changes or a connection is removed. Data is retained while needed for the private diary and its history; there is no automatic deletion merely because access is revoked. The operator can remove cached source data and associated retained records on request, including retained copies and backups where applicable.

Service providers and disclosure

Google provides calendar access. When travel planning is needed, relevant locations and journey details may be sent to Google Maps. OpenAI provides the AI-assistant service used for the requested planning and related work. These providers process information under their applicable terms and account settings.

Cloudflare hosts these public information pages and processes ordinary web-request information to deliver and secure them. These pages have no calendar connection, sign-in form, advertising or analytics scripts. They do not publish private calendar data.

Calendar data is not sold, used for advertising, or made publicly available by this app. Access and transfers are limited to providing the authorised features, necessary security purposes, or legal obligations.

Google API Limited Use

Kara Personal Hub’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used by this app to develop or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.

Your controls

You can choose which calendars appear or reserve time, stop automatic synchronisation in the Hub, and revoke the connection through your Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorised access; it does not itself erase previously stored records.
